Veysonnaz is a small authentic village located in the heart of the Valais in sumptuous surroundings and only 13km from Sion.

One of the region’s true treasures is without doubt its privileged location. Perched, like an eagle’s nest, on a magnificent slope, Veysonnaz can boast optimal sunshine (on average 300 days per year) and the wonderful view over the Rhone Valley is breathtaking.

The ski resort is on the doorstep of the biggest ski domain in Switzerland: The 4 Vallées. This winter wonderland is spread over 400 km of runs of all levels. Snow is guaranteed to the bottom of the runs, thanks to over 200 artificial snow machines.

Link Veysonnaz, Thyon, Nendaz and Verbier via the Mont-Fort on skis is no longer just a dream, but now a reality! Winter sports lovers experience moments of pure pleasure while skiing on the varied runs.

Come and experience a run down the legendary Piste de L’Ours, host to over 30 World Cup competitions.

The original village at 1350m is complete with church, restaurants, old chalets and the authentic upland way of life. Above the old village at 1400m is the new ski resort of Veysonnaz Station with good restaurants & bars, shops (inc butcher, baker, supermarkets, sports), wellness centre/swimming pool, playground & new high speed gondola directly up to 2100m into Les 4 Valles.

The area is idyllic for a wide range of outdoor activities, providing endless opportunities to take in the amazing scenery of Veysonnaz and the surrounding Valais region.

During the summer
The Valaisans have a multitude of local traditions and festivals which take place throughout the spring and summer months. The picturesque “inaple” ascent of the cows to the higher pastures in June and the famous Combat des Reines (bloodless) cow fighting festivals between the naturally combative Eringer cows of the Valais are traditions that are still alive and well here. The International Alpenhorn Festival is held at the end of July at nearby Tracouet.
